The Scott A. Strong Foundation was established in honor of community leader and Florida Public School board member, Scott Strong. Scott’s history of community involvement, activism and passion for education endure through the foundation’s efforts to promote educational excellence and provide scholarship opportunities to motivated students.

Partners in Education

The Scott A. Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarding a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating Lake County Public School student. You must have a 2.5 GPA and have a track record of being involved in your community. The scholarship can be used for books, fees or tuition at universities, community colleges or technical schools.

Partners in Education

EFLC is committed to raising funds for the Scott A. Strong Memorial Scholarship Fund. EFLC and its partner Reunion Bank have waived all fees for the life of the fund, designating 100% to scholarships.

Recent Award Winners

The Scott Strong Memorial Scholarship committee selected 6 recipients of the memorial scholarship and they were recognized at the LCSB meeting on May 8, 2017.  Dean Simmons, Lisa Jodray, Stephanie and Steve Strong were just a few of the board members there to happily pass along the honors.
