Scott Strong served as a Lake County school board member from 2000-2008 and was named the State of Florida School Board Member of the Year in 2008.  He was a staunch supporter of his family, his community and education. The scholarship fund has provided 79 students with $73,250 in scholarships in the past 7 years. The Educational Foundation’s annual Scott Strong Memorial Scholarship tournament will be held on October 21, 2016 at Mission Inn.
